Extractions

Though it is usually preferable to avoid removing teeth, there are several reasons why a patient might need to have one or more extracted. Severe tooth decay or periodontal disease can result in a tooth that can’t be saved. Teeth that are positioned badly, such as developing or impacted wisdom teeth, often need to be removed. Often, extractions are necessary in preparation for orthodontic treatment, and some teeth must be removed due to breakage that can’t be repaired.

When extraction is necessary, we strive to make the process as stress-free as possible. We work with each patient’s unique concerns and needs, and we offer restorative plans, such as implants, for full esthetic recovery.
